Hydraulic circuit breaker

Whilst the most recent amendment to this page (by a contrbutor, not the originator) removed the reference to a hydraulic circuit breaker, the manufacturer (Quick, Italy) recommends a magnetic hydraulic circuit breaker be used with this installation. That is what I installed following manufacturers recommendation/installation instructions. The hydraulic circuit breaker is reset using a flick switch.

I have a concern where reference to the manufacturer's recommended safety device has been removed from the page. Views anyone ?

Ken,

I would like to congratulate you on your piece, well illustrated and described.

I removed hydraulic, I thought without further explanation it read strangely.

The Quick manual (PDF Download page 12) says :

"With circuit breaker designed for direct currents (DC) and delayed action (thermal-magnetic or hydraulic-magnetic)"

I am not sure that you need to explain too fully but perhaps delayed-action circuit breaker would read more easily.
