First assess exactly where the new winch is to be sited, making sure the winch handle does not foul sprayhood or lifelines. Also check them in relation to where the helmsman sits.

                                            The Treadmaster was removed (or sand off the non slip paint) and the gel coat polished. See following photos

                       The coaming has a plywood pad, rather than a balsa core, so through bolting does not require any additional work. Lewmar 43ST fully fitted, notice the shine on the gel coat.
