The early Konsorts had a folding saloon table which folded flat against the saloon bulkhead. This allowed for a pull bed frame which could be made up into a double berth with the port side cushions.

Measurements in millimeters

Bulkhead fixing: 445 X 55 x 55 with an 24 X 18mm rebate on one edge to accommodate the bottom leaf. This piece of wood is attached to the saloon bulkhead by 3 bolts which go through to the heads.

Bottom Leaf: 1094 X 445 X 18. Sapele faced Plywood. This is attached to the bulkhead fixing by 2 chunky brass hinges. These are rebated into both pieces of wood for a flush finish.

Top Leaf: 1070 X 445 X 18 Sapele faced plywood. This is attached to the bottom leaf with 3 chunky brass hinges. These are rebated into both pieces of wood for a flush finish.

Supporting Leg & Flap: 670 X 230 X 18 Sapele faced plywood. This is attached to the bottom leaf by 2 brass hinges. It has a bolt at the bottom which engages with a brass bolt hole in the saloon floor. The Flap is 290 X 300 X 18 and attached to the leg with two brass hinges. It has a brass latch to secure it against the leg when not in use. When deployed the flap supports the top leaf.

Bulkhead Flap: 400 X 200 X 18 Sapele faced plywood. The edge which fixed to the bulkhead with 2 brass hinges is bevelled at 45 degrees so that the flap protrudes under the top leaf to support it.

The legs and flaps are shaped to give a pleasing appearance.

The Edge of both leafs (closest to the camera in the last picture) are raked away slightly perhaps by 50mm with a 50mm radius on the corner.
