Introduction

The Vulcan was Westerly's first attampt at a motor sailer. When introduced in 1980 this was a new venture into unknown waters.

Everything is big about the boat with large cockpit/wheehouse, the accomodation appears much larger than just 34' and the engine is a massive 60hp.

Cost of motor sailers are expensive to produce for a much smaller market and so the costs of production and development proved too much to be viable and the boat was dicontinued in 1984.

Other motorsailers made by Westerly are the Konsort Duo and the Riviera 35.
